Tax Counseling for the Elderly Free tax assistance will be offered for older adults 55 years of age or older only through Tax Counseling for the Elderly at the Senior Center. Reservations can be made for a Monday or Tuesday morning appointment through tax deadline. Call for your reservation at 736-6842. Please remember to bring al necessary information for your appointment:
E-filing will be offered again this year to speed up the date of your tax refund, if any. Ask the Attorney Jason Hastings, attorney with the Hastings & Nice Law Firm, will visit the Senior Center from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24 for Ask the Attorney. An appointment is necessary for the free half hour consultation with the attorney and can be made by calling 736-6842. Jason will help answer some of the difficult legal questions you may have.

assistant (Ryan Reynolds), to marry her. March 22 - “Knowing ” (PG-13, 121 minutes, 2008) Fifty years after a time capsule was
buried at a local school, teacher John Koestler (Nicolas Cage) examines its
contents and discovers that it holds many shockingly true predictions. Soon,
John is convinced that his family will play a role in an impending apocalypse. Registration is not required and there is no charge to attend. A microwave is available to pop your own popcorn. The Senior Center holds a motion picture license.
This month Marvin Niesche will visit Cleveland School at 1:15 on March 15. He will bring a variety of his woodcrafts to show the students. (They always enjoy his exploding outhouse.) Next month the students will return to the Senior Center for their next to last visit for the school year. Red Hat Activity The Red Hats will enjoy lunch at Bella Cucina at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 4. Come join us and help plan activities for the next couple of months. Directives Seminar What are
advance directives? Why is it important to have advance directives—no matter
what your age? These are only two questions that Lyle will address concerning
the importance of filling out advance directives in the event that you can not
speak for yourself. Come down and learn more about it. Remember to register for

Upcoming Trip
This smash-hit is filled with
high-energy and focuses on the importance of building bridges between people and
strengthening the bonds between parents and their kids. We will load at 6:45 and
depart at 7:00 a.m. from the Wal-Mart west parking lot. A coffee stop will be
made before we arrive for lunch at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. Following the
1:00 show we will also stop for supper on the way home. We expect to arrive back
in Fergus Falls by around 8:30 p.m. Cost for the trip which includes
transportation, noon meal and the show is $71 for members and $76 for
non-members, and must be paid in the office by March 31.
