Wii Demonstration The Fergus Falls Senior Center is hosting a demonstration
of Wii Games at 1:00 on Monday, July 20 courtesy of Tom Watson who is loaning us
his Wii console and games for the day. The Wii craze first appeared on the
market in 2006. Since then it has sold over 50 million consoles worldwide. This
game is as popular among adults, including grandparents, as it is among youth.
People as old as 103 have been reported to be playing the Wii. And it’s
friendly for people of all abilities. Games can be played in a sitting position
as well as standing for those with mobility problems. With Wii all people can
enjoy playing a game of tennis, baseball, bowling, golf or boxing. Come and try
this game out to see if you think the Senior Center should invest in one of its
own. It’s a fun way to get a little exercise into your day!

The Devil Wears Prada Join us at 12:45 on Monday, July 13 to watch The Devil Wears Prada (2006, PG13, 110 minutes). After taking a job in the Big Apple as assistant to powerful fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep, in an Oscar-nominated role), small-town girl Andrea Sachs (Anne Hathaway) is thrilled -- at first. But the magic soon wears off, leaving Andrea feeling battered and used -- and wondering whether working for the boss from hell will pay off. Helmed by David Frankel, this adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's best-seller also stars Stanley Tucci. My Life Join us at 12:45 on Monday, July 27 to watch My Life (1993, PG13, 117 minutes). Advertising executive Michael Keaton has it all: a beautiful, pregnant wife (Nicole Kidman), a great job, a stately house...and three months to live. Tears are jerked in this affecting drama as Keaton tries to make up for lost time and come to terms with the inevitable end of his life. Screenwriter Bruce Joel Ruben (Ghost) makes his directing debut here. Registration is not required and there is no charge to attend. A microwave is available to pop your own popcorn. The Senior Center holds a motion picture license.
